Coach Zha Is a Mother, marathoner, certified mat pilates instructor, [solidcore] coach, and online personal trainer. Wellness has been a part of her life since the start. At the early age of 8, Zha joined the Point Breeze Performing Arts Dance Center in Philadelphia where she spent countless hours rehearsing. She later went on to attend the Creative and Performing Arts High School majoring in dance of course.

After graduating from Spelman College in 2015 where she led the Morehouse College Dance Team, she moved to NYC to pursue her career in creative production with brands such as Ogilvy, Nike, Kamp Grizzly, and Westbrook. During her time in NYC, she fell in love with running while training for the NYC marathon. That experience inspired her to start creating communities for spaces that were underrepresented of people who looked like her. Zha's run club was successful and present in Brooklyn, NY, and Beaverton, OR.

Zha's love for wellness has been consistent for over 20 years. She has been determined over the last 6 years to diversify the wellness industry and bring unique experiences to her community by utilizing the skills she gained during her professional career. Black Girls Pilates Club was born out of necessity in October of 2022. After suffering from postpartum depression and struggling to find community, Zha decided to get back into her wellness routine through Pilates.

Taking the strategies she learned from her run club, she created BGPC to help bridge the gap between Pilates and Black Women. Breaking down the barrier of entry and creating bridges of love, support, and representation. Zha's goals are rooted in providing safe spaces for Black Women and Men to share the importance of community and healing with all who are willing to receive It.
